As we’ve been in such a humid summer season I’ve been trying to get all of my houseplants to have some extra care I love the We the Wild products as they add an added boost of nutrients and care for all of my houseplants
The protect spray is great for cleaning leaves which help in new growth plus the neem oil in this product helps keep away fungus gnats they are pet safe and made with lemon myrtle the applicator is a fine mist ensuring even coverage over all of your plants leaves

This new houseplant cutie has been in my collection now for about over a month I was so absolutely excited when I saw her on sale at one of my favourite online nurseries 
I have added my favourite houseplant soil from osmocote and some lecca pebbles to add some more nutrients to her soil she’s already got 4 leaves just creeping through the stems
I have been giving her weekly mists as we are now in Autumn

My Houseplant collection has grown more since this new lockdown in Sydney and as im waiting from some new plant babies to arrive i wanted to move some of my older babies and check on them to see how they are coping in the winter. The main thing that they need is heaps of humidity in the winter using my humidifier's one on the top & bottom tier of my shelf is what i find that keeps them happy and not go into a frenzy during the colder months.
I also group them together to add more humidity as well once or twice a week I mist them with filtered water depending how dry they get from the dryers being on as these are in our spare room near the laundry 
I also use my we the wild neem oil spray to clean over my leaves and to keep gnats away i only do this once every 2 to 3 weeks I find this gives them a boost of any nutrients they need and this helps if the leaves get dry looking too.
For my Calathea Plants they all live in our bathroom as it has the most humidity in there these are a selected few of the calatheas i've got as there is quite a few in our bathroom now
With these calatheas the get a moister meter check every 4 days plus they also get a mist too every few days to keep them happy

Houseplant books are a must have for my growing collection of houseplant babies I just love being able to pick up one of my houseplant books and see all the information inside for each individual plant
this one by Lauren Camilleri & Sophia Kaplan of Leaf Supply has to be my ultimate favourite plant book to date
The amount of information inside this book makes it so easy to understand the care for each house plant i also love that it has a few ribbon inserts to place as a guide for where i was last reading each page has loads of information on soil requirements light & water also they show what houseplants are easy to care for and what ones that can be harder to care for.
Also this book gives me more inspiration to buy other houseplants as well there other two books Leaf Supply & Indoor Jungle are both really amazing informative books as well this one is more like a Dictionary of Houseplants

Since i began my Houseplant collection last year this is my houseplants first humid Sydney summer so I've been very particular with how I take care of these plant babies the first thing I love to do is keep my misting to a minimum of 2 times a week I use rain water to help with the plants as it has natural minerals and no chlorine
A good spray of neem oil & a good houseplant food is perfect for the house plants i use the plant runner food for my houseplants you need to add water to a shaker bottle add 2 drops of the houseplant food serum and shake the bottle
I use my diffuser at least once every second day just to keep the plants nice & moist but not soaking wet also good lighting is essential for house plants I have mine west side of our window area so they get a nice amount of sun but not too much heat from our sun in Sydney
I keep a plant meter on hand at all times to keep a check on how the plants are going if they are having the proper amount of light & water
