Lemon Orange Drizzle Cake | Spring Baking

This is my 1st ever time making a Lemon Drizzle Cake I made mine with Lemon & Orange Drizzle as I wanted a more spring feel & it added a really nice refreshing taste the most important thing about this cake is that you need to have butter it makes the cake fluffy & soft on the inside but golden brown on the outside

Making the Cake
This is a Betty Crocker Vanilla cake mix
I then added melted butter about 80grams & 180ml of milk I then added 3 large eggs & mixed it all together once it was mixed I added a whole zest of 1 lemon
I placed my cake in the oven for about 55 minutes
To Make Candied Lemon Orange Pieces
1 cup of white or brown sugar
180ml of water
juice of half a lemon or orange
you need to place these on the heat for at leat 3 minutes as you need the sugar to dissolve in the water mix once it has you need to simmer the pieces of fruit on the stove
leave them to simmer but flip them over every 2 minutes for 15 minutes until they are translucent in colour & look glazed
That Lemon Orange Drizzle
for the drizzle glaze I added the juice of half a lemon & orange and some icing sugar mix it all together and once it forms a glaze like appearance you can add it to your cake once it has cooled down

This is the perfect cake for Spring & I will be making this again its so fluffy and I just love the lemon orange flavour
